This will be a one day virtual event, occurring during the evening. Your child will be paired with an English Student from China who is of the same age/grade.
Each pair of children will be accompanied by one of our tutors, and they will engage in conversation on topics such as food, school, movies, and traveling. The first half of each conversation will occur using Mandarin, and the second half would be in English. Our tutor will be there to facilitate conversation and help translate if needed.
Through this event, both children will have the opportunity to practice the language they are studying, hear how a native speaker talks in that language, and get to know a peer from a different culture through conversation and fun activities.
